Chelsea close in on Moises Caicedo deal, hope to complete it before Liverpool game (reliability: 5 stars)

Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton, according to The Guardian.

The report claims that the talks have progressed this week, even though it's still not clear if Chelsea are prepared to meet Brighton's ₤100m valuation of the Ecuador international.

At the same time, confidence is growing that the Blues will commit to a big-money transfer. They are trying to seal the deal before the opening Premier League weekend when they take on Liverpool.

Chelsea are also working on a deal to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds. The move that is valued at ₤20m is not linked with the Caicedo pursuit.
