'A bit more capacity to stay calm': Mauricio Pochettino explains how Mudryk can save his Chelsea career

Speaking in the aftermath of the 4–3 win against Brighton, Mauricio Pochettino was asked about Mykhailo Mudryk's first goal for Chelsea.

The Argentine said: "Attacking players need to score and need to get their confidence and trust in themselves.

"Always it is important to score goals. I think today with a little bit more capacity to stay calm, maybe we can create more chances and score more.

"We need to believe and trust in the process to arrive to the first Premier League game in the best condition."

Mudryk got on the scoresheet against the Seagulls last week — his first goal in a Blues' shirt — following an impressive Euro Under-21s campaign with Ukraine.

The forward, who joined Chelsea on an eight-year contract in January on a deal worth £88.5 million, was branded a flop due to his Premier League struggles.
