Omari Hutchinson join Ipswich on loan - he made senior Chelsea debut last season

Chelsea FC, Ipswich Town 

 on a season-long loan, both clubs have confirmed.

This is the first loan spell for the 19-year-old winger who joined Chelsea from 

"I’m really excited to join the club at such an exciting time," Hutchinson told the official Ipswich website.

"I have met with the manager face-to-face and really enjoyed hearing what he had to say, so I’m looking forward to playing in his team. 

"I like to attack what’s in front of me and I like to score and create chances for my teammates, playing nice football and keeping possession. 

"I like bringing smiles to people’s faces and hopefully I can do that here. To play in front of 30,000 people will be crazy and I'm really looking forward to it."

Hutchinson could gain regular game time with the side that won promotion from League One last season.

“It’s a hard one for me to comment on because I’m not inside Mason’s head and from the club’s point of view my role is clearly what it is,” said Lampard.

“That’s been a real positive so I think it’s important we try and keep that feeling that younger players can see a pathway to get into the Chelsea team and play for the team they will grow to love, which is Mason, which is Reece James etc.

“Of course in an ideal world those players stay with the club, but again in modern football it isn’t always that clear.”
