In the past few days, Chelsea have been seriously linked with Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki who could be worth around £35 million.
The 19-year-old has played regularly for Lyon's first team for the last three years - so there's already plenty of data on the youngster.
Twitter user ExpectedChelsea decided to compare Cherki's data profile from the last season with Eden Hazard's numbers from 2018/19, his last season at Stamford Bridge. The similarities were uncanny, with Cherki significantly behind Hazard only in non-penalty goals scored.
"Tried to compare Cherki's most recent season to Hazard's last year at Chelsea. The results were mind-blowing," ExpectedChelsea tweeted.
"This is not to say the two are equally good, or even stylistically very similar. They're two magicians weaving their magic in their own ways."
The Blues may have lacked a proper goalscoring No.9 for the last few years - but since Hazard's departure, they were also largely without a creative spark that Cherki could provide if he steps up.
