AC Milan have submitted a second bid to sign Christian Pulisic from Chelsea, The Athletic reports.
The Serie A side have offered a package worth up to €22million after their initial €14m bid was rejected.
This is still less than the €25m offer the Blues received from Lyon. However, Pulisic's preference is to join Milan - and he has already agreed the personal terms.
Chelsea and Milan have forged a strong relationship: Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have all moved from Stamford Bridge to San Siro over the past few years.
Last season, Pulisic played just 813 minutes in all competitions. His contract expires in a year, and the American has shown no intention to stay beyond that, so a sale is very likely this summer.
