Chelsea have entered the race to sign Konrad Laimer this summer, according to reliable German outlet Bild.
Bayern Munich and Liverpool are also interested in the RB Leipzig midfielder, who will become a free agent at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old Austria international is said to be looking for a new challenge and a move to the Premier League is 'an attractive destination' for the player.
Laimer has featured in just six games for the Bundesliga side so far this season, with two injuries (a syndesmotic ligament tear and an ankle issues) limiting his potential game time.
The Blues are likely to target a new midfielder next summer given the uncertainty surrounding the futures of veteran duo N'Golo Kante and Jorginho. Denis Zakaria's Stamford Bridge loan is also unlikely to be made permanent.
