Raphinha is all set to join Barcelona after the Spanish club improved their verbal bid for the Leeds United star.
The reliable Matt Law now reports that Chelsea have identified an alternative as they are eyeing Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry.
Gnabry scored 17 goals for Bayern last season and has netted double figures in all of his four campaigns with the German club. Aged 26, his best position is at the right wing.
Thomas Tuchel still wants to add at least one new forward - he wanted Raphinha but since that's not happening, Chelsea will have to move on.
Moreover, Hakim Ziyech is close to finalising a loan move to AC Milan which makes the prospect of another attacker all the more important.
As per German sources, Bayern would be willing to let Gnabry go for £34 million as he enters the last year of his deal.
