The Confederation of African Football have scheduled a meeting to discuss the possibility of cancelling the 2021 

There is a slight possibility that next year's tournament will be scrapped following reports about poor preparations from hosts 

So far, CAF have shifted the tournament two times - originally planned for June 2021, it was moved to January 2021. It's now been rescheduled for January 9 - February 6, 2022.

The European Club Association (ECA) has expressed 'deep concerns' over the player's safety at the

"The Board agreed to engage urgently with FIFA to ensure all necessary precautions are in place to protect players and club interests as the health situation continues to deteriorate in an alarming manner."

According to The Athletic, Mendy could miss up to eight games due to his involvement with the Senegalese team at the African Cup of Nations.

Kepa has shown he can be a valuable squad member, but it will be a challenge for him to step up as the first-choice goalkeeper again.

Postponement will benefit Liverpool more than Chelsea. hope CAF makes the necessary improvements to host the competition.

Do governments ever tell the truth? The issue is security when you look at even 2 days ago, there was a bomb explosion in Buea, Cameroon just 22 kms from an AFCON venue besides other incidents this year. So certainly, security will be assessed seriously. I'm happy Samuel Etoo is their new FA chair so maybe things will work out.
