Thiago Silva captains Brazil as Selecao secure World Cup qualification

Brazil beat Colombia 1-0 as they secured their qualification for the World Cup in Qatar set to take place next year.

Thiago Silva captained his country for the games, lining up alongside Marquinhos and securing a clean sheet.

This is the 9th clean sheet for the Selecao in their last 12 games, a lot of them down to Silva's quality and brilliance.

Brazil will play Argentina next but the 5-time World Champions are now certain to participate in Qatar.
