Thiago Silva at the age of 37 continues to defy expectations and play at the highest level for club and country.

The centre-back made his 100th appearance for the Selecao in a 0-0 draw against Colombia, coming on as a substitute.

This made Silva just the 8th player in Brazil's history to reach a century of games for their country.

Although he will return late to Chelsea thanks to his international excursions, this is a huge achievement for the centre-back.
