Kylian Mbappe had a very publicized feud with Olivier Giroud while the duo were together with the French national side for Euro 2020.
While Giroud moved on from Chelsea before the end of the transfer window, there had been no real closure on the situation till now.
Mbappe finally spoke about the former Blue in his recent press conference though, saying: "As it started in public, it had to end in public, it's simple.
"But I don't have any problem with him, I wish him the best, I see that he's started well with Milan.
"If he comes back to the French national team, I will welcome him with open arms.
"He was very close to breaking Thierry Henry’s record, it would be a shame if he was not given this possibility."
Giroud's last appearance for France was against Hungary in June 2021, in which he only featured for 14 minutes.
It remains to be seen whether the former Chelsea striker will be allowed back into the fold at his national side anytime soon.
