The 34-year-old took to Twitter with his last message to the fans as a 

"To all the Blues, to my teammates, to all my coaches, to the whole club, a huge thank you for these special moments," Giroud tweeted.

"I'm starting a new journey with a light and happy heart. Our victories in Fa Cup, Europa League and Champions league have been magnificent.   

Olivier Giroud became a Blue in January 2018. In three and a half years, the Frenchman scored 39 goals in 119 games while helping Chelsea to win the FA Cup, the Europa League and the Champions League.

On Friday, Giroud had his medical with AC Milan in Italy. He's expected to sign a two-year deal with the Serie A club.
