It's not like the Champions League winners have lots of weaknesses, but looking at Chelsea's transfer activity (or, at least, the rumours), they seem to be focused on very particular areas.
Right wing-back
Names mentioned: Achraf Hakimi, Adama Traore, Jonas Hofmann
Chelsea will likely have to plan the life after Cesar Azpilicueta who is not getting any younger. Reece James shows some potential at right centre-back, so some flexibility is needed when it comes to the lateral players.
Hakimi seems to be the club's favourite at the moment, but they will have options if the Inter player decides to join PSG instead.
Central midfielder
Names mentioned: Declan Rice, Aurelien Tchouameni, Manuel Locatelli
On one hand, Chelsea are well stocked in that area, with Billy Gilmour being only the fourth-choice player for a 'double six'. However, if he decides to leave on loan to pursue more game time, there might be a bit of a gap there.
Rice has been linked to the Blues forever but might prove to be too expensive. Monaco's Tchouameni is another player Chelsea reportedly like a lot and might consider signing him this summer.
Striker
Names mentioned: Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku, Harry Kane
A reliable goalscorer is arguably the only visible weak area, with Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner finishing the season as joint-top scorers (12 goals each).
Lukaku has stated his desire to stay at Inter, so it might be between Haaland and Kane - either of those players would surely be Chelsea's biggest transfer ever.
