'They bring a lot': Giroud names Chelsea 2 players that show age is just a number

"They bring a lot [to the team]. Thiago is serenity, experience. Maybe he can’t play every three days, but he’s still at the top, or not far from it. And Willy is immensely competitive. Honestly, he astonishes me," Giroud told France Football.

When asked if he's regressed physically at the age of 34, he said, "Not that much. I don’t find myself diminished, I’m in shape. When signs will appear, I’ll feel them. I’ll be aware when I realise I’ve lost speed, acceleration, jumping… But I hope to have another three, four, five years at the high level. It’s the aim."

Both Thiago Silva [36], and Willy Caballero [39] have shown the rest of the Chelsea squad what they need to do remain competitive late into their career.

At 34, Giroud is looking to seal a move away from Chelsea in order to secure more first-team action.
