Gabriel Martinelli has not been able to score or assist a goal in the last eight Premier League appearances for Arsenal.
There is some cause for concern as the Brazilian winger is not being at his decisive best and struggling in the final third.
As per Football London, the opposition analysts have found a method to neutralize Martinelli’s threat by realizing a pattern.
The opponents have realized that the winger lacks composure in the final third. As a result, the defenders are tasked to show him down the line.
Basically, the defenders are told not to let Martinelli cut into a shooting position and instead move him to his left foot, knowing his delivery from down the line isn’t that good.
This can be a cause for concern for the 22-year-old, who needs to bring more variation to his game to make himself more unpredictable.
Martinelli has enjoyed a pretty good campaign with Arsenal, scoring six goals and providing four assists in 33 Premier League games so far.
