Arsenal identify Szczesny & 2 more goalkeepers as potential Ramsdale replacements (reliability: 4 stars)

Arsenal are already making plans to replace Aaron Ramsdale next season, as per the Evening Standard.

The Gunners are bracing for his potential departure in the summer, as he has become second-choice to David Raya.

They’ve started looking for possible replacements. Among the possible targets identified to replace Ramsdale is Wojciech Szczesny. The 34-year-old made 181 appearances for Arsenal in his eight-year stay before joining Juventus in 2017.

Juventus want to sell the goalkeeper and Mikel Arteta & co are now thinking about bringing him back to be a second-choice option.

Arsenal want a homegrown goalkeeper to replace Ramsdale. Other potential targets include Brighton’s Jason Steele and Ajax man Diant Ramaj.

The Gunners are, of course, expected to sign Ray from Brentford after his loan spell is over.
