A former employee at Tottenham Bryan King has criticised Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff for the way they reacted to Arsenal's first goal on Sunday.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg put the ball into his net from a corner to give the Gunners an early lead en route to their eventual 3-2 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“I couldn’t believe the way Arteta and his coaching staff reacted to that opening goal,” King said.
“Running up and down the touchline and jumping about because Hojbjerg had put the ball into his own net, you don’t practice for things like that. You don’t need a set-piece specialist for that to happen.
“It was an unfortunate own goal which didn’t need to be over-celebrated.”
King can't tell Arteta and his staff how to celebrate. He should reserve that advise for his team.
