Nottingham Forest failed to give Arsenal any help in the Premier League title race as they fell to a 2-0 loss to Man City.
What made it worse was that Forest actually played some great attacking football, only for their striker Chris Wood to muck it all up.
Wood missed a number of open goal chances from close range, infuriating Gooners watching from all over.
After that, some past tweets from the New Zealand forward resurfaced where he can be seen voicing his admiration for the Cityzens and seemingly supporting them in the past.
There is no evidence that Wood is actually a Man City supporter, but his horrible performance and these tweets didn’t stop some Gooners from producing hilarious reactions.
Santi: “Chris Wood out here missing open goals to make sure City win the league while Walcott crashed ours last season.”
Dr. Rajpal Brar: “Someone check Chris Wood’s bank account for a transfer from UAE. My goodness.”
Paddy: “Three extremely poor misses which we simply cannot accept. We warned the PGMOL that Chris Wood is a City fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times. Arsenal will now consider its options.”
Dan Critchlow: “Don’t care about Forest, but I hope Chris Wood gets relegated.”
