Addressing the disappointment over his open goal that allowed Cristiano Romero to make it 3-1 for Tottenham Hotspur, David Raya told reporters, quoted by The Metro: "I’ve learned from making mistakes.
"If you don’t make mistakes, you don’t learn. It’s part of football, everybody makes mistakes.
"The thing is, when the ‘keeper makes a mistake, is normally it is a goal and it’s more seen, more talked [about] compared to a striker missing a tap-in or whatever.
"But it’s just part of football and you learn from that, that’s the most important thing. You just learn from the mistakes."
Raya paid a costly price for his rash error but thankfully, Arsenal still won the game 3-2 and didn't concede another one to share points.
The Gunners were able to defend all of Spurs' fervent attacks towards the end as they pressed hard for an equaliser.
The result leaves Arsenal with a one-point lead over Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
