Jurrien Timber to finally make much-awaited return for Arsenal 

Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Jurrien Timber will play for Arsenal's under-21s as he continues his road to recovery.

The young Gunners are travelling to Ewood Park to take on Blackburn Rovers in Premier League 2 Division One on Monday night.

“He’s going to play a game with the under-21s and after that we will see better where he is, how he felt,” Mikel said. “He looks really good in training but it’s that last step now. We need to have the certainty that he’s ready to go.

“He can play in both positions right and left full-back in relation to the game and the players we have available.”

Jurrien has been unavailable since August when he suffered an ACL injury.
