Revealed: Arsenal's three major targets amid desire to sign new forward (reliability: 5 stars)

As per The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Arsenal are going to be prioritizing the signing of a new centre-forward in the summer transfer window.

They are mainly focused on improving their frontline with a quality centre-forward and there is already a few targets they admire.

Arsenal have the likes of RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres and Brighton youngster Evan Ferguson on their striker wishlist.

With that being said, it won’t be easy for Mikel Arteta’s side to sign any of these three. Brighton are reportedly likely to ask for over £100m for their forward, while Gyokeres is also being valued around that mark by the Portuguese side.

Sesko, on the other hand, only joined RB Leipzig last summer and the German club are unlikely to let him go easily.

Out of these three, Gyokeres has the highest number of goals (18 in 22 Liga Portugal matches) – while Ferguson has six Premier League goals this season and Sesko has seven in 21 Bundesliga appearances.

Arsenal have lacked a real ‘goal machine’ spearheading their attack this season, with Gabriel Jesus only having four PL goals and Nketiah having five league goals in this campaign.
