Ferdinand slammed for outrageous Arteta comment
Sky Sports anchor Jeff Stelling has blasted Rio Ferdinand for claiming Mikel Arteta would 100% leave Arsenal to manage Man United.
"Rio Ferdinand said Mikel Arteta would ‘100 per cent’ go to Old Trafford and become Manchester United boss if he was offered," began Stelling. "Now, Rio was speaking – surprise, surprise – on his YouTube channel. "I think that’s known as clickbait, Rio. We’re not all as daft as we look, pal. Talk about nonsense! We’re gullible, but we’re not that gullible."
Arsenal keen on Zubimendi
Arsenal will also look to sign a new central midfielder, with Martin Zubimendi among the club’s targets.
An out-and-out winger to supplement Bukayo Saka & Gabriel Martinelli will also be considered.
Zinchenko & Tomiyasu get return date
Arsenal hope Takehiro Tomiyasu & Oleksandr Zinchenko could BOTH be available for Monday’s trip to Sheffield United after recovering from injuries, while Thomas Partey is also nearing a full return having been back in training.
