Germany suffer 4-1 defeat v Japan with Havertz at no. 9

Germany have suffered a shock 4-1 defeat at home to Japan in a friendly game.

Arsenal new signing Kai Havertz played 73 minutes in the centre-forward position.

The 24-year-old made just 33 touches, didn't have a single shot and attempted two dribbles (one was successful).

Kai wasn't the worst player on the pitch though.

It has to be noted that Germany were trailing 2-1 when Havertz left the pitch.

Takehiro Tomiyasu played the entirety of the game for Japan, putting in a very solid display at the back.
