Rice 9, Saka 3: Arsenal player ratings in dramatic Man United victory

Rice: 9/10. Brought the three points to the Gunners with a late strike. But he was the best player on the pitch even if the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Very secure at the back, made a number of great tackles. Excellent in possession too, very tidy and helps keep the high tempo.

Odegaard: 8. Scored with a lovely finish, good in the link-up.

Gabi Jesus: 8. Came on late to score a winner when level and ended up sealing the win with an emphatic finish. Good movement and finishing, should probably start the next game.

Vieira: 7.5. Came on late and left the pitch with an assist for the Jesus goal and a lasting impression that he should have started over Havertz.

Gabriel: 7. Gave the ball away a few times but overall great defending on his return to the starting eleven.

Zinchenko: 7. Roamed the pitch from his hybrid left-back position. Could have been tigher with Antony on a few occasions but overall made the Brazilian pretty much invisible.

Ramsdale: 6.5. Can't blame Rams for the Rashford goal but could've been more accurate in possession.

Martinelli: 6. A lot of effort but his end product wasn't really there. Kept ignoring Havertz's runs.

White: 5.5. Didn't commit enough to stop Rashford when he scored United's opener, backpedalling instead of going tight on the United striker. Rashford made things difficult for Ben on a few more occasions.

Saka: 3. Bukayo's decision-making in the final third could have been so much better today. Missed a sitter late in the game and that miss was hardly any better than Havertz's — no excuse for wasting that chance. Could have cost us the game if not for Rice's goal. On a positive note, won us plenty of fouls.

Havertz: 2. It's not just that he offers nothing, Kai is costing us big time. That wasted early chance was comical, you just can't do that when you're a professional footballer. Couldn't get basic things right. Quite decent defensively though, did well to man-mark Bruno. Won a penalty but it was chalked off by VAR.

Others: Saliba, Nketiah, Tomiyasu 6.5; Nelson, Jorginho N/A
