Arsenal have turned down a formal offer from AS Monaco for Folarin Balogun, according to The Athletic. 

The Gunners rejected an opening verbal proposal for the USMNT international following a pre-season friendly between the clubs last week.

Maitland-Niles joins Lacazette at Lyon

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has completed a move to Lyon. He will be reunited with ex-Arsenal team-mate Alexandre Lacazette in France.

The versatile midfielder had been a free agent since leaving the Gunners back in June.
