Arsenal won their first piece of silverware in the 2023/24 season by clinching the Community Shield title.
They defeated Man City 1-1 (4-1) to win the game, leaving it very late to come up with their best stuff.
However, the player who was arguably the most consistent and proactive one was Jurrien Timber. He had the entire left side on lock and did not allow City to cause much threat from there.
In fact, the Cityzens scored a few minutes after he was taken off – showing how important he was.
A lot of Arsenal fans felt that he was their best player in the game, as they reacted afterwards.
