Wojciech Szczesny makes Euros history — but definitely not the way he wanted

Wojciech Szczesny scored an own goal in the 18th minute of Poland's debut Euro 2020 game against Slovakia.

The ball hit the post after Robert Mak's shot, then bounced off into the keeper and into the net.

According to Opta, the Juventus man has become the first goalie to score an own goal in the Euros history.

And as per Squawka, Szczesny's goal is the earliest in the competition's 61-year history.

We're sorry for the ex-Arsenal keeper: this is definitely not the way he wanted to enter the European Championship history books.
