Mourinho: 'I realise now the difference between clubs with big history and others; Spurs' trophy history is not as big'

In the dying moments of the game against Newcastle, the visitors were awarded a controversial penalty with Callum Wilson converting it with composure.

“I react during the game but the game is finished and I don’t want to speak about it,” Jose Mourinho told Sky Sports after the game. “If I want to give some money away I give to charities, I don’t want to give to the FA. So I don’t want to comment.”

When asked about Son Heung-min, who was taken off at interval with an injury, the Portuguese has expressed his frustration with a packed fixture list as his side have three additional games in their schedule to qualify for the Europa League.

“We'll have him out for a while. It's his hamstring. It’s just the first one,” he said. “I imagine that Tuesday another one, Thursday another one and maybe Sunday a couple more.

“But this is the respect that Tottenham gets. Tottenham is a big club but it’s a club where our history in terms of trophies is not as big as other clubs.

“I realise that. I’m coaching with a lot of passion, a lot of love. I love to be here, I don’t see myself leaving and going to another club because I love it so much. But I realise now the difference between clubs with big history and others.

Apparently, Jose wanted the FA to move Tottenham's fixtures so that his side were in the same conditions as other Prem's teams.

As Arsenal won the FA Cup last season, Spurs now have to play 3 qualification rounds. They've progressed to the last one and are set to play Maccabi Haifa on Thursday to get a place in the group stage.
