Besiktas president: We've settled the dispute with Elneny and want him to keep him for another season

Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Cebi says the club have settled the pay dispute with Mohamed Elneny and will try to secure the midfielder's services for an additional year.

"The contracts are valid until the end of the league. Elneny, who also thought about not going out to work, had to step back after the briefing of the management," the chief of the Super Lig side said as cited by Tribal Football.

"Later, the parties met once again and an agreement was reached. Elneny gave up asking for money. In addition, we pushed the button to rent the Egyptian football player next season."

As was previously reported, the Turkish side owe Elneny €1.3m in unpaid wages. Arsenal supposedly do not want to keep the midfielder whose contract with the Gunners expires in 2022.

Previously, we discussed how Mikel Arteta could benefit from having the Egypt international in the squad.
