Asking price for Odsonne Edouard revealed: it's connected to Kieran Tierney's Arsenal move

Reliable journalist Kaveh Solhekol has discussed the rumoured Odsonne Edouard move away from Celtic, saying that Leicester City are interested in the striker.

"He’s got two years left on his Celtic contract and he could sign a new deal," the reporter said during the Q&A session with Sky Sports

"The biggest fee that a Scottish club have ever received for a player is the £25m Arsenal paid Celtic for Kieran Tierney last summer.

"Someone would need to offer more than that for Celtic to be tempted to do business and that kind of money is unlikely to be flying round the transfer market during the next window.

"Leicester have been watching him closely and Brendan Rodgers knows all about him from his time managing Celtic."

One of the most promising talents in the world:

The rumours linking Edouard to Arsenal appeared last year and have somewhat re-emerged in recent weeks, with the Daily Express claiming that the Gunners are 'leading the race' for the 33-goal striker.

Speaking of Tierney, the 22-year-old has had a troubled season at the Emirates so far. While the fans have been impressed by his confident displays on the left flank, the full-back has struggled with injuries, managing to make only 11 appearances so far.

Former Arsenal player Charlie Nicholas said that the Scotland international and Edouard could form a strong link on the left side in case the Celtic man joins the Gunners.
