Italian Serie B side Pescara will wear shirts designed by their six-year-old fan Luigi D'Agostino after the latter won the club's contest.
The competition was aimed at cheering up Pescara's little fans on lockdown and the motto of it was "give a kick to Covid-19". The boy's dolphin will be on the team's kit next season.
Dolphin is Pescara's mascot because the club is situated in an an Adriatic resort town famous for its beaches. Luigi, the competition's winner, features on the club's official website.
Pescara's kit manufacturer Errea will make the shirts with his design. They have also invited the boy to spend a day at their headquarters in Parma and see the shirts come off the production line.
The contest was originally launched as a game for kids but its popularity ensured it turned into a bona fide business project.
