Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi recover from coronavirus

Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi have recovered from Covid-19, Juventus' official website confirms.

The defender and the midfielder underwent a double-check test which came back negative.

Both players contracted the virus in March, with Rugani admitting that the disease was 'a good hit'.

Italy is the largest-hit country in Europe, with 162,488 confirmed cases and 21,067 deaths at the moment of writing.

The South European nation is currently on lockdown. However, with the flattening of the curve, there are talks of Italy slowly coming back to normal in several weeks' time.

This includes resuming the Serie A season, which could potentially set the precedent for the Premier League and other European competitions suspended during the pandemic.
