Portugal has moved ahead of France in UEFA’s coefficient ranking of the best leagues/associations in Europe.
This comes after Benfica won their Champions League playoffs clash against PSV Eindhoven and booked a place in the competition for the 2021/22 season.
Portugal now has 44.216 coefficient points, a bit more than France (43.498).
They’re also ranked on 5th place in the coefficient rankings, meaning Portugal’s Primeira Liga now holds the prestige of being one of Europe’s top-5 leagues ahead of Ligue 1.
France will hope that PSG can perform strongly in this season’s Champions League to help them reclaim the honor of being one of Europe’s top-5 leagues.
