Denmark’s team doctor on how they saved Eriksen's life: ‘He was gone. But we got him back’

In a press conference on Sunday, Denmark team doctor Morten Boesen revealed: "He [Christian Eriksen] was gone.

"We started the resuscitation and we managed to do it. How close were we to losing him?

"I don’t know, but we got him back after one defib [defibrillation], so that’s quite fast."

The Euros clash between Denmark and Finland was marred by Eriksen's sudden collapse on the field.

The Inter Milan midfielder required immediate medical attention and was later shifted to a hospital where his condition stabilised.
