Ex-Juve striker Amoruso: 'Ronaldo is afraid of receiving a ball in his face, he cares for his image'

Speaking to Sky Sports Italia, former Juventus striker Nicola Amoruso said: "I would never put Cristiano Ronaldo in the barrier on free kicks.

"He is afraid of receiving a ball in the face because he cares about his image."

Ronaldo was stationed as part of Juve's wall in the Champions League on Tuesday, failing to stop Porto's tie-winning free-kick.

Sergio Oliveira drove the shot and it ended up in the net after passing through Cristiano's legs with the Portuguese turning his back to the ball.

Although Juventus managed to beat Porto 3-2 in the Round of 16 second leg, the Portuguese side still progressed to the quarter-finals on away goals.
