The long-term and short-term solutions to Barcelona's problems
Looking at the situation at Barcelona, objectively, it is hard not to blame everybody for all that is happening.
In the midst of all this, however, there is a glimmer of hope; the B team.
Barcelona has always been known to thrive when the team is composed of players that have been groomed within the system and players that have the DNA of the team in them. In this set of players, we have more than enough firepower and we saw it in their effort to make it to La Liga.
Do we need to buy players from outside to solve the club's problems?
Do we need to spend money on players that do not have the DNA and try forcing a system they are not suited for when we can easily use what we have and work on them till they attain perfection?
Was Barca a successful club because it bought the big-name players or because it used players raised within the system who knew how to play with their teammates without neglecting the playing style?
These are all questions that should have crossed every sincere fan's mind and the board should have these contemplations to set things right. They are questions we must all ask if we are to find lasting solutions to our problems as a club.
La Masia brought us the best version of football to date. We cannot repay the debt we owe Johan Cruyff of blessed memory for the blessing he gave us in the form of a playing style and the Barca system which is fully embodied in La Masia. We, on the contrary, seem to have been abusing his memory by the neglection we have shown towards the minefield he left behind for us.
Barcelona have bought players like Trincao, Pedri, Pjanic, and Gustavo Maia already, and it's good to buy the youth but what is the point if all we end up doing is selling them off as if they were not good enough?
The fans are excited about the prospect of Lautaro joining up with the squad but what is the assurance that he will make the difference? Coutinho was equally good before we bought him and made him less of a player, Griezmann is constantly being abused but this was a player who bore the weight for Atletico in their attacking third. Is the problem with the players we have been buying or is there really something wrong with the club? What is the assurance that further purchase will end up differently? Is the cost of these fruitless experiments not too much to bear? We had Arthur who was a perfect Xavi like-for-like player and we let him go. Todibo wasn't doing badly before the club exiled him. We have had more fails in the transfer window than successes and the few successes sprang up from within and not without.
Riqui and Fati have been the points of excitement this season and they grew up in the backyard and not in some far away club. We spent nothing for them and they are giving us the results we need.
Let's not forget where players like Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Pique, Pedro, Thiago, Fabregas, Sergi Roberto, Busquets and even Messi came from. The only difference was that the board and coaches were ready to trust them and give them a chance and it's not any different now. We have those talents, other clubs see the talents and are swooning around to have them but we seem too blind chasing after shadows to acknowledge what we already have.
In that same youth set up, we have and have had Oriol Busquets, Hiroki Abe, Ludovit Reis, Abel Ruiz, Rey Manaj, Alex Collado, Matheus Fernandes, Monchu, Konrad and Chumi. These are the players that will fit in perfectly and produce results. Cucurella is among the young players with the best performance this season and was the best young player in his position the season that just concluded. We can bring some of these players back. Todibo should be kept along with Araujo and both of them should be given the chance to grow.
I am not against purchasing experienced players but let's only go for them if we don't already have ones. We have exceptional players that are sure to be allowed to thrive and play their game for instant impact while we blend that with the massive talents we already have in our youth setup.
What we seem to be looking for outside is already with us and we must learn to take advantage of it.
For Barca👍

Yet they let young players go, so they can buy players who are passed their prime 😞

Hello dear app manager, please l will be very grateful if you wouldn't mind to constantly hitting hard with this topic till a great change take place. Till the entire board come back to their senses and have a good heart and mind of our beloved legends ( Johan Cruyff ) philosophy. The best LEGEND who once said ' if barca having a serious problems and want a solutions, they shouldn't looks anywhere than LA MASIA. So if we have a laid down philosophy to guide us through the tough times, what is it again. LORD HAVE MERCY UPON OUR BELOVED TEAM FOR UU. THANKS
GHANA MESSI, sure but why not dream about better future a bit? 😉
