Van Dijk: 'Everyone has to look in the mirror and ask if they really want to win the league'

Liverpool suffered a frustrating 2-0 defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Everton. The result most likely means the Reds are out of the title race as City and Arsenal are unlikely to drop the number of points needed for Liverpool to overtake them.

Virgil van Dijk said after the game: “Very disappointed in so many ways.

“I think everyone has to look in the mirror and look at their own performances if they really give everything and if they wanna win the league?

“We have to do much better against a side that’s fighting relegation. We can’t let the season go out like tonight.

“We have to just focus on the next game and we’ll see.”
