LFC Women decide on big stadium move for next season

Liverpool's Women team is getting a new home next season! They're moving from Prenton Park to St Helens. Since 2018, they've been playing at Prenton Park, but now they're shifting to St Helens' Stadium after agreeing on a ten-year lease with the rugby league club.

The decision came after discussions about staying at Tranmere beyond this summer, but they explored other options before choosing St Helens. Players, staff, and fans were all consulted before making the big move.

The new stadium can hold 18,000 people and has hosted European games for Liverpool's Academy teams before. This move is seen as a big step forward for the women's team. They'll get a new top-quality pitch, better facilities for players, and an improved experience for fans on matchday.

Susan Black, Liverpool FC Women Executive Director said: "This is another step forward for our women’s first team and we’re so excited to relocate to a new long-term home."

"Our players and incredible supporters were at the forefront of our decision-making process. We are confident St Helens will be a great matchday home and will look and feel part of the Liverpool family."
