Asked about rumours linking him to Barca, Bayern midfielder Joshua Kimmich said:
"At the moment I'm not thinking about this. As I already said, I will speak to Bayern first.
"But of course, Barcelona and Real Madrid are amazing clubs with an amazing history," the German superstar added.
Bayern will be facing Real Madrid this week in a crunch Champions League semi-final first leg. It's probably why Kimmich mentions them in his response.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old has fired his agents as he wants to negotiate his future himself. Kimmich defended that decision.
"The advantage is that you can speak for yourself, but this can also be a disadvantage. Sometimes it's hard to talk about yourself. You are responsible for your decision," said Kimmich.
"This is the most important thing for me: being at the table, listening directly to what those in charge say and being able to speak directly with the club and the coach.
"This helps me make a very good decision for my family and me," Kimmich concluded.
Barcelona continues to be linked with Kimmich — a versatile midfielder who is reportedly admired by Xavi.
Kimmich has a contract with Bayern until the summer of 2025. It is said that Bayern will be open to selling him this summer to avoid losing him for free, that's if he doesn't extend his contract at the end of the season.
