Real Madrid are aiming to sign more quality youngsters from South America to improve their squad for the future.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Los Blancos have contacted River Plate to ask about the availability of their midfield sensation Franco Mastantuono.
The club really appreciates the quality of the Argentine midfielder and their scout also feels that is a gem of a player, similar to Fede Valverde.
As per Diario Ole, Real Madrid are also leading the race to sign Mastantuono ahead of clubs like PSG, Bayern Munich and Premier League sides.
That is because the club’s representatives has been able to establish strong relations with the 16-year-old midfielder’s entourage to gain an advantage in the race to sign him.
Mastantuono, who can play as an attacking midfielder and on the right wing, has already made 11 appearances for River Plate at the age of 16 and scored two goals.
