Real Madrid are planning to have Thibaut Courtois start his first game of the season this weekend against Cadiz, per the reliable Mario Cortegana of The Athletic.
Courtois has been training with the team and seems to have completely recovered from the meniscus injury he picked up in March.
The goalie suffered an ACL injury at the outset of the season but recovered fully by February. However, he suffered another setback which was expected to rule him out for the rest of the season.
Carlo Ancelotti has said there is no rush to bring back Courtois with Andriy Lunin performing brilliantly and Kepa as backup. However, if such a big goalkeeper is fully fit there's no need to keep him on ice.
Lunin is still expected to remain Real Madrid's first choice until the end of the season.
