Speaking on how he plans to approach the game against Real Madrid, Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel said.
“It depends on tactics, luck, but also on being free. Tactics are always a tool. It's like a car, but we are the ones driving it.
"Players also have certain ideas throughout a match and they have to feel the freedom of being able to pass them on the field of play.
"It takes a mix of luck, moments and quality to eliminate a team of the stature of Real Madrid. And if luck has to be challenged, we will challenge it,” the Bayern boss said.
Bayern have struggled this season with Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen running riots in Germany. The Bavarians could go trophyless if they get booted out by Real Madrid.
Real Madrid did arguably the hardest job knocking out defending Champions Manchester City in the quarter-final. Los Blancos are favourites to overcome Bayern but they may also need some luck to do it.
