'Last convulsions': Ten Hag slammed over Man United speech

Dutch press has criticised Erik ten Hag's speech in the win over Newcastle United. Ten Hag addressed the fans at Old Trafford after Man United's last home game of the season.

But journalists René van der Gijp, Johan Derksen and TV presenter Wilfred Genee weren’t inspired by his post-match comments.

“I did have my reservations about that speech on the pitch. He just kicks in open doors,” Van der Gijp said.

“That man is dying a bit there. Pretty painful or not?”, presenter Wilfred Genee continued while Johan Derksen labelled them as “a bit of desperation speeches.”

“These are his last convulsions,” Van der Gijp concluded.

Ten Hag still has one year left in his United contract but it remains to be seen if he will be in charge next season.
