Major referee change could be coming to Premier League soon

Howard Webb, the head of Premier League referees, is exploring the possibility that match officials could be allowed to explain some of their decisions to crowds inside stadiums starting from next season.

Sky Sports News chief reporter Rob Dorsett said: "IFAB, who make the rules of the game, have never allowed live audio between match officials to be played to the crowd. But Webb thinks there is scope within the existing rules for referees when they're called over to the screen to review a decision to then explain why they are changing it to the crowd."

Todibo compared to one of PL's best defenders

Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo continues to be linked with a summer move to Manchester United and Louis Saha believes the 24-year-old centre-back is similar to Arsenal's William Saliba.

He told Betfred: "Todibo is a talented boy who's composed and strong. He's a similar profile to Saliba at Arsenal because they're both comfortable with the ball, they read the game well and don't overcommit. These are the things I like about him and he's a good prospect. He would be a success in England"

Onana, Mainoo nominated for PL awards

Andre Onana has been nominated for Premier League Save of the Month for his incredible save to deny Burnley a goal in the 1-1 draw on April 27.

Kobbie Mainoo, meanwhile, finds himself among the nominees for Goal of the Month for his curled effort against Liverpool.

Bruno nominated for PL Player of the Month

Bruno Fernandes is among the proud nominees for the Premier League Player of the Month for April.

He scored six goals, which include two long-range efforts, and provided a key assist to help a struggling Man United side.
