Bruno Fernandes – 9
Man United’s captain’s form has peaked at the right moment and he can’t stop scoring. Put away the penalty superbly before producing an amazing left-footed effort for his brace. On top of this, he created NINE goal-scoring chances and also set up a great assist for Hojlund’s goal.
Harry Maguire – 8
The ex-Man United skipper produced another brilliant performance too, scoring a great header and also winning the penalty. Apart from that, he was defensively quite solid defensively, winning 5/5 duels and making two key blocks.
Kobbie Mainoo – 7.5
Mainoo had a lot of fun in his free role and tormented Sheffield with his link-up play and clever movement. Worked really hard in midfield, winning 6/8 duels and was rewarded for his impressive display with an assist for Bruno’s second goal.
Diogo Dalot – 7
Dalot produced a solid outing on the left-back role, getting quite involved in the attacking moves and making some clever passes to help set up chances. Created quite a few chances and defensively pretty decent too, winning 4/5 duels.
Rasmus Hojlund – 6
Hojlund was generally quite frustrating to watch, as he couldn’t get involved as much and scuffed some decent scoring chances. But finally able to end his goal drought by scoring a clever tap-in towards the end.
Antony – 5
Antony tried his best to work hard and look proactive, but his final output was actually quite frustrating. He created a few decent half-chances but failed to get anywhere near to scoring and was taken off before the hour mark.
Andre Onana – 4
Onana might’ve been hungover from the FA Cup semi-final win and didn’t look as sharp against Sheffield. Made a few errors with his lapse in judgement and gifted Sheffield an easy opener with a sloppy misplaced pass. He actually gave away possession quite often and was fortunate that his teammates saved his blushes.
