Jose Mourinho: There are 'still a couple of players' at Man United who I wanted to sell

Speaking to the Telegraph, Jose Mourinho said: "I didn't have that level of support at Manchester United. I didn't have that level of trust. So I left the club sad, because I felt I was in the beginning of the process.

"In some moments there, I felt if they [club chiefs] trusted me and believed in my experience things could be different. There are still a couple of players still there who I didn't want to keep five or six years ago.

"I think they represent a little bit what I consider not the best professional profile to a club of a certain dimension. But I did my job there. Time always tells the truth. I would love Man United to succeed."

Victor Lindelof, Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial are the players still there from Mourinho's Man United tenure.

Fans quickly began to speculate about who Jose could've have been talking about as Old Trafford managers continue to deal with the same squad issues.
