'Falling over before contact': Man United fans rage as new angle shows dubious way Liverpool won late penalty

Man United were unable to get the win over Liverpool due to a penalty that the visitors earned towards the end of the 2-2 draw.

Harvey Elliott was the one to win the penalty after he went down following a sliding tackle from Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the box.

However, a new angle on the incident shows exactly what happened and why Liverpool were extremely lucky to get the penalty.

That is because it shows that Wan-Bissaka actually didn’t even connect with Elliott. In fact, the winger himself got his foot caught underneath the Man United defender and then fell down in the box.

Man United fans are furious at the manner at which this penalty was given, as they reacted on Reddit.

Eleven918: “He was falling even before the contact.”

Kiki-the-fab-spider: “Yup, I remembered correctly. The little noodle boy literally puts his leg between AWB as he slides in front of him, so he can claim 'contact'.”

GavinLobo: “VAR in England is the biggest load of horseshit because they will simply not go against the on field decision in order to protect their mates.”

AadiUnited7: “How is that a pen? I would be happy when VAR is gone.”

3ThreeLions: “Clear dive by Elliott.”
