Mount, Wan-Bissaka & more: latest Man United injury updates and possible return dates before Luton clash

Man United are just not able to shake off the injury bug despite enjoying an unbeaten start to matches in 2024, and having also won the last three Premier League matches.

Despite a number of key players returning from injuries, the Red Devils have been unlucky enough to see a few first-teamers suffer with injury troubles. Before the Luton Town clash, here we look at the current injuries and when the players can be expected to return.

The Man United no.7 has been out of action since November due to an injury and it seems that he is taking quite a long time to recover. Erik ten Hag recently indicated that it’ll take a few more weeks for him to be in contention to play.

Possible return date: March

Shaw suffered a suspected injury in the game against Aston Villa, but Ten Hag later indicated that he was taken off for a precautionary measure. He will need to pass a late fitness test to be fit for the Luton clash.

Possible return date: vs Luton Town (February 18)

The right-back has suffered from injury issues over the last few weeks and reaggravated his knock in training recently. Wan-Bissaka is unlikely to play for Man United this month.

Possible return date: vs Man City (March 3)

The Dutchman has not played a single minute of football for the Red Devils due to complications with a knee injury. Ten Hag recently hinted that he is working on his recovery and should be back in a few weeks time.

The Argentine centre-back was very unlucky to suffer an injury in the thrashing of West Ham United earlier this month and faces another spell ont eh sidelines. However, Licha is targeting a return for the final stretch of the season.

Possible return date: vs Chelsea (April 3)

Martial had to undergo a groin surgery last month and faces yet another spell on the treatment table. With his contract expiring in the summer, the Frenchman has to work hard to play another game for Man United in his career.
