Man United 'unlikely' to sign Sofyan Amrabat permanently — it's not because of his form

As per The Sun, Manchester United have already begun preparations for life without Sofyan Amrabat.

Erik ten Hag is 'unlikely' to sign the Fiorentina loanee permanently and is already looking at options for next year.

Now, one may assume Ten Hag doesn't wish to keep Amrabat because of his lack of impact at Man United.

That may be partly true but The Sun understands it's more to do with Kobbie Mainoo's emergence.

Mainoo has earned appreciation from all plaudits whenever he's stepped onto the field this season. And Man United may sign another experienced option to provide support for Mainoo next summer.

As of now, Amrabat is expected to depart once his loan expires at the end of this season.
