Man United 'approach' Everton on Amadou Onana signing, his price-tag named (reliability: 4 stars)

Man United have approached Everton on the possibility of a transfer for midfielder Amadou Onana, claims the Guardian.

Erik ten Hag is keen on signing a commanding central midfielder and feels like Onana could be an ideal option.

However, it will take at least £50m for them to sell their prized midfielder to the Red Devils.

Ten Hag reportedly believes that the Man United squad needs more height and believes that Onana can be more than just a ‘destroyer’ in midfield.

Man United recently sold Fred to Fenerbahce and are looking for a possible replacement, with Onana being one of their key targets.

They have also been linked to a move for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, who is keen to join them too.
